Hello everybody. I hope this finds you well. This episode is on a topic that is near and dear to my heart, the music of the 1950’s, the decade that birthed Rock ‘N’ Roll. I first fell in love with the music of the 1950s when I used to listen 98.1FM Philadelphia where I would tune into the Breakfast Club and Harvey Holiday and they would play artists like The Coasters, The Drifters, The Dells and the Teddy Bears. One of my favorite DJs was Hyski O’Rooney McVoutie O’Zoot, who played artists like Jerry Butler, Jerry Lee Lewis, and The Isley Brothers, and Christie Springfield who hosted “Backseat Memories” playing songs by Elvis, The Clovers and Barbara Lewis.
I so happy to share my love of 1950’s music with you all. I hope you find something you enjoy. Thank you so much for listening to my show it means a lot and sing along if you know the words!
Best.
